Getting started with CBSE AI Tutor is quick and easy. Follow these steps to begin your first tutoring session.
- Sign up or log in to your CBSE AI Tutor account.
- From the dashboard, click "Start Learning" or go to the Chat page.
- Select your grade (Class 1-12) and the subject you want to study.
- Type your question or topic in the chat box. You can ask in English or Hindi.
- The AI tutor will respond with explanations, examples, and practice questions.
Be specific with your questions! Instead of asking "explain physics," try "explain Newton's third law with examples from Class 9 Chapter 9."
Understanding Your Dashboard
Your student dashboard is your central hub for learning. Here is what each section shows you.
Overview Panel
The beta dashboard is an app launcher. Use it to open the AI Tutor, browse subjects and grades, or return to the help center. It does not yet show a live mastery score, study streak, or total study-time summary.
Subject Cards
Open Subjects to choose curriculum content, then use the AI Tutor for questions. Subject cards describe the available curriculum; they do not currently show personal completion percentages.
Recent Sessions
The chat can restore messages from an active session when available. A complete, searchable session-history page and automatic session summaries are not part of the current beta.
Assignments
Teacher assignment delivery and student submission tracking are not exposed in the beta student interface yet. Continue to follow the assignment channel your teacher or school currently uses.
How to Track Your Progress
The current beta does not provide a dedicated personal analytics page. Use the working tools below while progress reporting is completed.
Review What You Studied
Keep a short note of the subject, chapter, questions you asked, and topics to revisit. The beta does not yet calculate study-time trends, comparative performance, or strength-and-weakness maps.
Quiz Scores
There is no complete student quiz-history and filtering screen in the current beta. Keep results supplied by your teacher and use them to decide what to practise next.
Study Goals
Set a small goal in your own calendar or notebook, such as one chapter or twenty minutes of review. Automatic goals, reminders, and achievement badges are planned and are not available in the beta.
Ask a teacher which topic needs attention, then start an AI Tutor chat for that specific topic. The AI Tutor does not currently receive a verified personal weakness profile.
Tips for Effective AI Tutoring
Get the most out of your AI tutoring sessions with these proven strategies.
Be Specific
Ask clear, focused questions. Reference the specific chapter, exercise number, or concept you need help with. The more context you provide, the better the AI can help.
Ask Follow-Up Questions
If you do not understand an explanation, ask the AI to explain it differently, use simpler words, or give another example. The AI adapts to your needs and never gets impatient.
Practice Regularly
Consistent daily practice of even 20 to 30 minutes is more effective than long weekend sessions. Use the AI to quiz yourself after each study session to reinforce what you learned.
Review Mistakes
When you get a quiz question wrong, do not just move on. Ask the AI to explain why the correct answer is right and where your thinking went wrong. This deepens understanding.
Mix Subjects
Interleaving different subjects in your study sessions improves retention. Study math for 25 minutes, switch to science, then return to math. The AI makes switching seamless.
Preparing for Board Exams with AI
CBSE AI Tutor is designed to help you excel in your board examinations. Here is how to use it effectively during exam season.
Create a Study Plan
You can ask the AI Tutor for a draft checklist after you provide the subjects, dates, and available study time. It cannot read your exam timetable or personal performance history, and it does not save a managed revision plan.
Practice with Sample Papers
Use official CBSE sample papers and school-approved materials. A student-facing full-length assessment generator is not available in the beta; you can paste a specific practice question into the AI Tutor for an explanation.
Focus on Important Questions
Use the current CBSE syllabus, sample papers, and guidance from your school to decide weightage and priorities. Do not rely on the AI Tutor to predict examination questions.
Quick Revision Notes
Ask for a concise explanation or checklist for a named chapter, then verify formulas, definitions, and exam-critical facts against the current NCERT textbook or with a teacher.
Start your board exam preparation at least three months before exams. Use the AI tutor daily for 45 to 60 minutes, alternating between concept revision and practice papers.
