Data Protection for Minors
CBSE AI Tutor treats every learner under 18 as a child for this consent workflow. Before tutoring begins, the learner must declare their age and a parent or guardian must complete the required consent and adult identity/age verification steps.
- Email possession alone does not enable a minor account
- We store a digest of the external identity-verification reference, not a raw identity document
- Consent can be withdrawn, which disables tutoring until a new valid consent is completed
- Pre-production seed accounts use an explicit synthetic test marker that is rejected by the production policy
This technical workflow is being prepared for the phased Digital Personal Data Protection framework in India. It still requires counsel review, an approved adult-verification provider/process, and acceptance testing before a public beta involving real minors.
Data Security
We use access controls, tenant isolation, hashed single-use verification tokens, restricted audit records, and encrypted transport. No security measure can eliminate all risk.
